Josephine Kamanthe – Senior Engineer TX planning and support
Josephine Ndambuki is a Fiber optics specialist with over five years’ experience working with the largest telecommunication company in Kenya, Safaricom. She has a wealth of experience in the implementation and support of terrestrial high capacity, Backbone transport technologies as well as submarine cable systems. She was involved as the only lady commissioning engineer for the pioneer undersea cable in East Africa, TEAMS.
Selected as an emerging African woman leader in Technology 2013, by the prestigious US state departments TechWomen program, as well as the CIDA in canada Josephine enjoys using technology as a catalyst for societal transformation.
She is also a co-founder and a director of the League of Young Professionals of Kenya, an organization that brings together young professionals from diverse fields together to interact, network and to collectively pursue ventures, that meets their financial and professional needs while giving back to the community.
Josephine is a trustee of the Safaricom Foundation, a board member of the Safaricom Sacco, a Rotarian of the Rotary Club of Nairobi North and a Co-coordinator of Safaricom Women in Technology – WIT
